Platinum #21 - FIFA 10

Platinum Difficulty Rating - 10/10
The "Ton Up" trophy, awarded for winning 100 online classic matches, is by far the toughest trophy in this list. Aside from the fact you have to win 100 online matches, which is hard enough, given the extremely competitive online mode, it's made even more tougher when you realise any wins that are obtained via quitters do not count towards the 100 requirement, despite the fact the statistics screen will count it as a win.

You'll go through alot of unnecessary hassle of playing matches that ultimately won't count because your opponent quits before the end of the game, which can be extremely frustrating, and means you'll end up playing more games than are necessary.

The "Time for a Testimonial" trophy. awarded for playing 500 matches with your Virtual Pro, is also a slog in its own right, especially given the fact you have to play every single game to get it, and there are no methods of simulation that will count towards the 500 figure. Even if you were to play the minimal amount of time for each game, you're still looking at around 90 hours for this trophy alone, which is an insane amount of time to plug into an individual trophy.

The various Manager mode trophies look difficult at a glance, and in reality, they are, even though you can choose to simulate games and play the mode out as a true management simulator, rather than actually playing the games.

The "Globetrotter" trophy, awarded for winning titles in all 5 major European leagues, will require an investment of at least 5 seasons in Manager Mode. This can be done within the same career, or on separate careers, but playing through 5 whole seasons isn't exactly an overnight job, and you need to make sure you win the league title, as cups will not count towards the trophy, so picking a strong team is highly advisable, and there is always the chance you could finish a season without winning the title, and would therefore have to repeat the whole season.

The "Established" trophy, awarded for becoming a 5 Star Manager, will require you to be hugely successful in your career. You'll need to win alot of trophies and manage some high reputation clubs to be able to hit 5 stars, and just like the above, this will only come with time, and a large amount of attention to the Manager mode.

The "Phoenix from the Ashes" trophy, awarded for making a 5 star team out of a 2 star team or lower in Manager mode, would usually be fairly easy if it wasn't for the fact you're given a timescale in which to fulfil the trophy requirement. Assembling a 5 star team isn't that hard, but progression is usually very gradual, and this trophy forces you to rush the process, which can be tough. Thankfully, there are alot of good players you can purchase fairly cheaply in order to hit 5 stars, so as long as your club is successful and makes enough profit in order to bring in new players consistently who will take your club towards that 5 star rating you need, 5 season is quite achievable.

The "Limited Resources" trophy, awarded for winning a league or cup in Manager mode with a 1 star team or lower, will test your management skills with a tight budget, and your best chance of earning this trophy is to win a domestic cup in which the bigger teams don't compete in, such as the Englsih Football League trophy.

Other awkward/tricky trophies include the "You're in the game" trophy for getting your face imported into the game, which requires you to use some of the most awful computer software ever created, and the "Around the World" trophy, which requires you to win a match in every stadium, of which there are close to 50, provides yet another time-inducing trophy in the set.

The "Team Player" trophy, for being part of a 10 person team online, might bring back some horrible flashbacks of the FIFA 09 "Duo-Hedgidecimal" trophy, but thankfully, it only requires 1 full team, rather than 2, this time around, which is much easier to manage when it comes to arranging Multiplayer sessions.

The minimum amount of time required to unlock the Platinum is 50 hours, courtesy of the "Real Fan" trophy, but with the bigger picture in mind, it's completely irrelevant, because you'll be easily looking at 150-200+ hours in total to achieve the Platinum trophy. The Manager mode takes the fair whack of time from this list, but there's also very honourable shouts to the 100 online wins required, and also the 500 games with your Virtual Pro.

When you also consider a fairly big element of skills required that will test your footballing skills to their highest peak, you've definitely got one of the hardest Platinums available in any list.
