Platinum #10 - FIFA 09

Platinum Difficulty Rating - 9/10

Most of this trophy list is simple enough, and can be easily achieved through natural play, but the few selection of difficult trophies ensure that the rating soars hugely.
The "Duo-Hedgidecimal" trophy, awarded for entering a match with 20 people in a FIFA clubs game, isn't just the toughest trophy in this list, but also a painstaking task which requires perfect timing and co-ordination, not to mention a big effort from all 20 people involved.

There are various issues with trying to attain this trophy, from trying to co-ordinate a suitable time that caters to all 20 people, to having connection problems before the start of the game and denying the trophy for everyone involved. Numerous sessions and around 15 hours stood between me and this trophy, which was incredibly hard to endure at times, especially for a solitary silver trophy.

The "Club God" and "Living Legend" trophies, for reaching legendary status for your club and country respectively is a huge time sink too, and definitely takes up a large chunk of this games completion time. You can't really put an actual time estimation on either trophy, but to become a legend at both stages won't just take a few seasons, and although you can use the cheaty simulation mode to achieve them, actually playing both trophies out fully with your pro will require numerous seasons of play to ultimately achieve them.

The career mode also has a number of trophies dedicated to it, but again, any troubles can be easily overcome by using the simulation feature, however, "The Purist" trophy, awarded for completing a manager mode season without simming any games, can obviously not be achieved in such a way. You can choose a league with a relatively short season in order to minimise the amount of games you have to play, but even the shortest seasons can still take a while to fully complete.

The "Frequent Flyer" trophy, awarded for winning in every stadium, also requires you to win at least once in each of the 50 grounds in the game. Even with the minimum time of 8 minutes per match, that equates to around 7 hours in total, simply for one trophy.

There should also be a special mention for the "Real World Winner" trophy, awarded for winning 5 interactive league matches. Although there isn't really anything hard about this trophy, the interactive league games are based off real-time matches throughout the real football season, and as such, is bound to become unachievable at some point in the near future. Definitely one to keep an eye out for.

All in all, even though this isn't exactly a tough list, you can expect to spend around 150-200 hours with this Platinum.
"The Peterson" trophy, awarded for playing over 50 hours, makes sure you'll be spending at bare minimum of 50 hours on the game too. This is mostly irrelevant though, given the fact this Platinum is a much longer journey anyway, but that's only if you're intent on playing through everything and resisting the temptation to simulate wherever possible.
