DLC #4 - Mirrors Edge Pure Time Trials

Time Trial addiction returns, no U-Turns here.
The Pure Time Trials DLC adds 6 new trophies, emphasised around a host of new maps exclusively designed for the Mirror's Edge Time Trial mode.

Most of the trophies are actually incredibly easy, and are awarded for simply chaining together specific motions to pull off bigger flowing moves. Out of the 6 trophies on offer, 4 of them are catered to these moves, and you can actually earn all of them naturally, since there are always points in these Time Trial runs where you have to string together these moves to progress, so you won't even need to go out of your way to unlock them all.

The other 2 trophies in the package are some of the most challenging trophies available in any game to date, and for those who thought the "Still Counting" trophy, awarded for collecting 50 Time Trial stars in the main list was difficult;

Superstar - Attain a Time Trial star rating of 90 [Pure Time Trials]
The "Superstar" trophy, leaves a very minimal margin for perfection, and will test your free-running skills to the very highest limit. Across both the main game maps, and the new Pure maps included within the DLC, there are 33 runs in total, which gives you a maximum scoring potential of 99 stars.

This obviously means you can only afford to drop 9 stars across every map in the game, and the vast majority of them will require absolutely flawless runs to nail with a 3 star rating. Furthermore, the Pure maps are generally way harder to beat the target times in than the main game maps, and makes the quest for perfection even harder, and the amount of trial and error required to reach an overall rating of 90 stars requires some serious skill and dedication.

You'll need to be prepared to retry maps on numerous occasions, and also re-visit previous ones in a quest to better original times and clamber for extra stars you desperately need to scrape together to get closer to the target of 90. Assuming that you dropped down to 2 out of 3 stars for 9 maps, you would still need to achieve 3 stars in 24 of them to earn this trophy, and every further map scored at 1 out of 3 stars increases the 3 stars column by an extra map.

It's actually quite difficult to suggest what makes this trophy harder; the fact that there is such a low margin for error, or the fact that it takes such a big element of skill to chain together good enough runs to net you 3 stars on most of the maps. It's most likely a mix of both, and adds a greater challenge to what was already a very difficult game to master.

It's way too hard to nail down even a rough time estimate for completion, because the amount of trial and error and massive replay potential will vary too greatly for everyone to bolt down a concrete time, but the willingness to persevere and never give up is of greater relevance than a time estimate here, and if you can stick by it, this is a very rewarding piece of DLC to complete.
