Platinum #13 - LittleBigPlanet

Platinum Difficulty Rating - 8/10
Given the nature of such of a game, you'd be easily tricked into thinking this one is an easy Platinum, but it is by far from it.

It actually starts out incredibly innocuously, with a large quantity of throw away trophies that you can achieve through just playing through the game's story mode and exploring the creation aspects of the game.

The game does slowly being to pick up the pace eventually, and the "Booty Master" trophy, awarded for collecting all prize bubbles in the story levels, will require visually aided guides, and alot of backtracking through various parts of the game, due to a ton of them initially being locked out until later in the game when you acquire the relevant stickers to activate the mechanisms that will open up the aforementioned secret areas. There are also trophies awarded quarterly towards 100%, which act as a nice benchmark for tracking your overall progress.

You'll also need up to 4 players for certain inaccessible areas, so there is definitely a multiplayer element that creeps into the prize bubble quest too. You probably won't even be able to get away with owning 4 controllers, as these areas tend to require simultaneous interaction between all 4 players in order to unlock the prize bubbles.

The multiplayer element does carry on further into the list, with a handful of trophies awarded for playing levels with up to 4 other players, but you will achieve these during the levels that require 4 players to get into the hidden prize bubbles areas anyway. The "Party Person" trophy, awarded for completing a level online with 3 players on your friends list, will require some extended co-ordination though.

The majority of the difficulty from the Platinum really comes down to the 3 gold trophies presented within the list, with some genuinely tough requirements.

The "Play" trophy, awarded for completing all story levels without dying,  is just a matter of determination, as only a few of the levels are genuinely difficult to beat without losing any lives. As long as you take your time and approach each level with caution, you'll nail most of them within a couple of attempts, although the genuinely hard levels may require a handful of tries to ace successfully, with a small hint of trial and error in certain places.

The "Create" trophy, awarded for having 50 levels hearts, and 30 author hears, will require levels that are quite special, with an excellent level of mastery, in order to get enough hearts as an author. The only other alternative if you want this trophy is to go through the completely tedious notion of requesting hearts on peoples levels and hoping they oblige, but be prepared to make something brilliant in order to earn hearts legitimately off others, not just for the 50 level hearts, but also the 30 author hearts, which may require a steady stream of excellent levels on a consistent basis.

The "Share" trophy, awarded for playing 150 community levels, tagging 50 community levels, and hearting 10 community levels, is probably the easiest of the Gold trophy trio, but getting through 150 levels will still take a considerable amount of time.

Most of the trophies are straight forward and can be naturally achieved through going through the games story mode, along with a bunch of really easy throw-away trophies chucked in for good measure. The fairly big reliance on multiple players, both with finishing levels and collecting all prize bubbles, will probably cause a few headaches at some point down the line too. However, its the inclusion of the gold trophies in particular, that really accelerate the difficulty of this Platinum, and definitely push this game into the higher end of the rating scale.
