DLC #19 - Borderlands - Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot

I can't imagine how anybody actually enjoyed this, let alone trophy hunters (For whom it is arguably a much worse experience).
You'll need to finish 6 tournaments across 3 maps, each with a lesser and larger tournament. Each of the lesser tournaments consist of 5 rounds with waves of enemies to defeat. It won't seem too bad, until you get to the larger tournaments which all have 20 rounds each.
It's unnecessarily grindy, there is no checkpoint system, you cannot save mid-game and there are literally no rewards for slogging through it unless you want the prized trophy;

Big Tournament
Completed each of the larger challenges in all 3 coliseums

You need to beat the lesser versions of the tournaments to unlock the larger versions, so you don't even have the luxury of minimising the experience if you wish to (which you probably will), and skipping straight to the larger versions of each tournament. If you can stomach it, it all amounts to around 20 hours for grabbing every trophy, and when you consider every arena has to be done in one sitting, it becomes a fitting definition of grindy.
The only real consolation I can pull from the experience is that the trophies are appropriately graded, with a handful of silvers for beating each larger tournament, stacked with a gold on top for beating them all. It is just a small consolation though, from one of the most boring pieces of DLC, complete with an equally tedious trophy list to boot.
Yeah, I think "Bore" sums it up nicely....
