Most of the trophies in this list are devoted to the single player portion of the game, with a heavy emphasis on progression and recruiting your skate team.
Practically all bases are covered with the "Dedicated" trophy, for beating everything, unlocking everything and earning everything, and although you could liken it to the "Perfectionist" trophy from Skate 2, you need to do a little bit more than just beat the various career paths in the story mode. You'll need to also complete all the challenges and fully staff your team, aswell as beat the aforementioned career paths including Death-races, Hall of Meat and Street Contests.
It practically ensures you'll cover everything the game has to offer, and some of the paths in the game can be quite challenging, especially some of the Own the Lot challenges and Hall of Meat tasks.
The “Mass Murderer” trophy, earned through killing 80 challenges, is by far the toughest trophy in this whole list, and will require a decent amount of skill, especially on Hardcore difficulty. Killing challenges essentially means beating challenges with a better score than their par (or their "Owned" score), so you'll always be required to go the extra mile to fulfil the requirement of killing a challenge. The Own the Lot and Own the Spot sections are probably the most notably difficult challenges to kill out of everything, and there are only 95 challenges available to kill in the entire game, so even though there is still a little bit of leeway in regards to which challenges you can choose from, the margin still isn't that great, so the vast majority of the challenges will need to be killed in pursuit of this trophy, which means only the most skilled will probably be able to go after it and unlock it.
There really isn't much else to go into regarding the Single Player portion. There are alot of progression based trophies dished out for beating the various different career paths individually, but they're all covered collectively by the "Dedicated" trophy anyway, so as long as you're going for that, you'll just unlock these ones along the way.
There isn't as great of a emphasis regarding the Multi-player trophies this time round, as there was in Skate 2, and most of them are simply menial tasks that require dabbling in certain online modes.
The "It takes a really big village" trophy, for reaching the community board sales target, is a fairly unique trophy, which is unlocked when the online community collectively contributes board sales to a target figure through beating challenges in the game. It was a bit of a head-scratcher, as people tried to second guess the actual figure, only to find out time and time again it was obviously something even higher. There was nothing really difficult about it, as the figure would have been hit eventually, but the online community wasn't exactly booming and it became a bit of a slow burner in the end.
The community interaction element is thrown into the online trophies quite excessively, with a variety of trophies awarded for winning certain game modes with a team of players, and encouragement to share pictures, videos and skate park creations, and rate other players creations in return.
All of the online trophies are much easier than what was presented in Skate 2, but it is relevant to note the "Talking about Team Practice" trophy, which requires you to play in a 6 player Team Freeskate session. This definitely requires some co-ordination and forward planning.
It isn't a particulary challenging or time consuming Platinum overall, especially in comparison to Skate 2. There is a heavy emphasis on progression, but only a few trophies really call on a high level of skill to achieve. You can beat everything within 30 hours easily, providing you manage to knock off some of the more frustrating trophies out fairly quickly, and although most of the online trophies do require teamwork and reliance on others, it shouldn't take too long to find other people for most of them.
