Bring the pain! |
There are actually a few design flaws that will aggravate trophy hunters hugely, including the absence of any sort of visible stat tracking (particiulary unforgivable when you consider you'll need to win 120 matches over the course of the 4 game modes), and the fact that as soon as somebody quits the game, the match ends and a win isn't granted to the would be winner.
It can make things incredibly tiresome, especially when you consider it amounts to around a 40-50 hour experience to nab all of the trophies. I wouldn't not recommend it, but would instead just make sure you know what you're getting yourself in for if you're a completionist at heart.
Aside that, the rest of the trophies come naturally along the way, including unlocking all character skins and chaining together huge combinations (including one for 80,000 points, which is actually quite difficult to achieve).
As far as trophies go on the whole though, it is a very unfriendly piece of DLC.....Complete lack of stat counters, extremely grindy and just too many frustrations when it comes down to gameplay. I wanted to like versus mode, I always appreciate games that try and take a new focus on their DLC, but it doesn't quite work with versus.
